Eyes on sight

Eyes on sight

Throughout someone’s life you can find
Troubles and hard times, but that’s just one side
Of the coin. On the other side one can find
triumph and success. Depressed, you have spite
For those who are living in delight.
Blinding is this feeling, as life passes on by.
You gotta remain focused; keep your eyes on sight.
Time is coming as fast as its going and that's something to keep in mind.
Only you can change what’s to come.
If you can remain positive,
Half the battle is already won.
The energy of positivity is flowing.
Don’t stop now, you've only just begun.

Mountainous Oregon

Mountainous Oregon

Oregon’s beauty is a mystery.
Could it be the lush mountain sides?
Everywhere you look is green.
Hill after hill, mountain after mountain
Trees cover the landscape, like silky smooth satin.
From its highest peaks, one can see its lowest valleys;
Unless dense fog has filled them like an ocean.
I’m in awe, staring at its beauty
As the sun floats gracefully on the horizon
It illuminates the tiny islands
Islands made of tall thickets of trees
Here I’m at peace, this is my inspiration, god I love it soo much
Mysteriously beautiful mountainous Oregon.

Successful, to be or not to be

Successful, to be or not to be

To be or not to be successful, that is the question.
To answer one way or the other could be misleading. Ya see,
To be successful is a conscious decision.
Take the right steps; follow your plan of action.
But, not to be, is a decision made unconsciously.
It lurks in the back of my mind, because
Failure is always only one step behind.
Success and Failure are separated by such a fine line.
When everything works out as it's designed,
It feels as if the stars have magically aligned.
But on the flip, these same stars can slip, and fall.
The fear of failure can be the most dangerous fear of all.
It nags and eats away at aspiration.
It traps me in a world of endless questions.
It affects all aspects of life. Like my education,
relationships, career, and self-confidence.
It causes constant self-conflict and disrupts inner peace.
Like a rabid dog, it feasts on my self-esteem.
To succeed is all I want to achieve, the thought of not receiving
The one thing that drives me to be, can seem so paralyzing.
The road of regret is a road of agony.
This is a road where no one wants to be.
To conquer this fear, I must free my mind of doubt.
Work hard for what I want, day in and day out.
Learning from my mistakes is key,
You only fail if you give up, something I don’t do very easily.
To be successful is my only option, and not to be
is just a figment of my imagination.

She Taught Me

She Taught Me

She taught me how to wash my hair,
And how to brush my teeth.
She taught me how to ride a bike,
And how to cross the street.
She taught me how to treat a woman,
And what true love really means.
She taught me right from wrong,
As well as left from right.
She taught me not to fear the dark,
And to welcome the light.
She taught me to follow my dreams,
And that anything can be achieved.
I can’t tell you how much I love you,
Or how much you mean to me.
I’m soo blessed to have you.
No matter how big I get,
I will always be your boo-boo.
Love you mom.

Friend Ship---Josh Mozingo original

Friend Ship

A drop in the ocean is what we amount to be.
In a sea of people, all with diverse backgrounds, and beliefs.
It’s not hard to claim individuality.
Like the colors and shapes of the corral reefs
People can be so unique.
The friends you meet can be like creeks.
You have similar backgrounds and similar beliefs.
As creeks merge into rivers
Acquaintances merge with your friends….
Changing, as time does with everything
So too do your friends, and so it begins.
We’re not who we were, our minds have diverged
Our river opens to the ocean,
Off we go in different directions.
The chains of our friendship have been broken.
Words are words, your actions have spoken,
Like hammering in a coffins’
Last nail. Sorry old friend,
Our Friend Ship has set sail.
