Mountainous Oregon

Mountainous Oregon

Oregon’s beauty is a mystery.
Could it be the lush mountain sides?
Everywhere you look is green.
Hill after hill, mountain after mountain
Trees cover the landscape, like silky smooth satin.
From its highest peaks, one can see its lowest valleys;
Unless dense fog has filled them like an ocean.
I’m in awe, staring at its beauty
As the sun floats gracefully on the horizon
It illuminates the tiny islands
Islands made of tall thickets of trees
Here I’m at peace, this is my inspiration, god I love it soo much
Mysteriously beautiful mountainous Oregon.

  1. This is a poem I wrote about this beautiful picture I took late January coming down Sexton Summit. I loved the beautiful contrast between the snow reflecting the suns orange glow, the trees framing the bottom arch of the floating sun; the rays beaming through the thickets of trees, and of course the fog filling the valley like a calm ocean. Simply beautiful.
